Gardencare started gardenwork 19 years ago with Karen Jackson at the helm, doing maintenance and garden landscape work. Karen has an interior design background with enormous flair and diversity. Karen always loved her garden and has grown up In Gisborne, she worked in orchards and vineyards,vege gardens, put lawns down and worked the flower and rose beds with her mother, father and grand[parents thus has a vast knowledge of gardens from her childhood experiences onwards thus moved into this business well informed. She further left school and engaged in an administration profession thus taylored her ability to run and own a business by learning for many years how to run other peoples businesses for them and turn them into successes with a drive in marketing them as well. Karen then moved into an 8 year profession in interior design and decoration and fulfilled her creative expression until her decision to move back to dealing with the outdoors and create a business of maintaining gardens, troubleshooting problems and basically growing her Gardencare business from ther 19 years ago.

Now joined 2 years ago by Landscaper Mike Macdonald who designs and builds gardens in every facet of landscaping with the real point of difference and X factor. Mike has appeared in magazines and TVNZ,s Groundrules sharing his deep passion for garden design  clients no matter how small or large. Recently featured in trends magazine vol 24 of outdoor living and due to appear this year again, the union of  Karen and Mike makes landscaping for clients a journey of excitement and complete satisfaction.Together they have over 20 years of experience .
